Would be better to just get a 5 foot Olympic Barbell. Then use it without any added weight as a pseudo-weighted bar to get started, instead of this Cap bar.

Then it is more future proof, because you can add weight to the Olympic Barbell as you progress and need more weight. Instead of this Cap bar that will just be propped up in the corner gathering dust as you move on beyond the Cap bar.
