I have one. This is a pretty good price. I paid 17 bucks for mine and I had to wait a while to get the sale.

The only weak point with this press is the hinge. It's held in place by a fairly weak cotter pin. On the other hand it's easily replaced.

I've tried it out three times on three different doughs. The first two were bread doughs. It didn't work at all.

Switch to a tortilla recipe. Worked like a charm.

I have heard of one super high-end tortilla press, that will work on more than the standard doughs. Unfortunately the price is over $100.

Have one of these and this is the right price for it. Certainly beats rolling the out by hand, but still doesn't get them quite flat enough or even enough to feel like tortillas. Most of ours feel closer to naan or pitas.
