No idea how they stay in buinsess long term, reminds me of movie pass, but I will gladly accept them paying for my food.
What if they paid $50K for a TV Ad, and had $100K in Sales .... did they lose $50K ?
You can email InKind support to extend the old terms for 30 days.
To be clear, this is not a legal issue.
Gift card laws in the U.S. are designed to protect stored monetary value (for example, ensuring prepaid balances can be redeemed and don't expire improperly). Those protections are about access to funds that were actually purchased.
What inKind changed is not the ownership or redemption of stored value, but how different discounts and promotional credits can be combined at checkout. That type of change is governed by the platform's terms of service and promotional rules, which companies are generally allowed to modify.
Importantly, nothing is being taken away from existing balances, and users are still able to redeem their stored value. The change is about discount structure, not access to funds.
Because of that, the claim that this is "illegal under gift card law" is not accurate.

are you saying if i have a balance on my inkind app, i cannot use these inkind offers with app balance?
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank tenderidol
For example, if the bill is $60 you split it $40 / $20 and use the $20 off $40 offer for the first split and InKind cash for the other $20.
I don't get all the crying and moaning around here. Even without the coupons, I'm getting 35% off at my favorite sushi joint, as well as a pizza place and a fusion Mexican place, without the use of any coupons. The ability to use coupons in addition to the savings from the GCs was the cherry on top; the ice cream sundae still tastes great without that cherry. Relax people!
PS: InKind works great for exploring new restaurants when we travel to different places. It helps with the decision fatigue at the end of a long vacation day.
Where can you buy them for cheaper than 25%? Hate to break it to you but you cant anymore
