I highly recommend saving up an extra $150 and buy the Zeiss 55/1.8 used ($350-ish or lower on eBay). Your full frame deserves better.

I've had 2 of these btw. They're just fine.

Absolutely agree. I'm sure this lens is fine on a tight budget. But for a Sony A7 body definitely recommend the Sony ZA 55 1.8. It was my first lens and it's still one of my favorite I've used. Portable, razor sharp and sleek - great pairing with the camera body. I started with the A7II and I've been on a A7RIII. That lens started my photography career!
