Be careful, maybe just eat Indian food and you will get your daily dose.

Looking at the article, it looks like they are mistaking turmeric with curcumin. The recommended values they reference is for curcumin, which is less than 10% of the turmeric (sometimes like 2%). Who knows what that lady was taking.

High dose for short term won't do that , you have to go over 2000mg daily long term for those kind of side effects

According to the WHO standards, an acceptable amount of Turmeric per person is 0-3mg per 1 kg of body weight.

For us US citizens, that would mean an acceptable amount of supplement per day of Turmeric for a 180 pound person is around 244mg.

This goodRX article explains a lot more info:

https://www.goodrx.com/well-being...G193XGyNX-

After doing way more research and reading than I originally intended this morning, (looking at recommended/promoted articles, what ingredients those recommended supplements possessed, compared to other similar price ranges, looking up $40/bottle supplements and what their ingredients are (and dosages), and reading more articles about absorption and what works and doesn't, I ended up going with this: (this is just what I decided on from what I've looked at and read). What we really should be getting (according to 'experts') are products with Black Pepper Fruit, around 15mg (needed for for a high turmeric absorption) , and we should also be getting Boswellia Serrata Gum Extract, around 100mg (described as this: Boswellia serrata is a plant that produces Indian frankincense. It works hand in hand with Turmeric as a powerful, natural anti-inflammatory. It can also act as a pain killer and some studies show it may prevent cartilage wear) BUT to get all of those ingredients and in those dosages from a reputable supplier, you're looking at $41+ /bottle.

Lots of information floating around on this supplement. This is not a recommendation or any type medical advise. Just what I have found online. It is suggested the black pepper (peperine)additions be avoided or be very limited due to possible long term liver effects. The safest most likely is incorporating turmeric int your diet as a seasoning or just taking a small amount with some fat as EVGO. For curcumin supplements one that looks good is curcumin combined with galactomannans from fenugreek seed. Read about it turmeric here. https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/18/8/1197
