Walgreens gift cards are indeed valid for RX copays.

They can't be used as payment on other gift cards, phone cards, lottery tickets, that sort of thing.

FYI: If you want 3 Walgreens gift cards, it's easiest to buy the max. of 3 all in 1 order. I had to go thru chat and get a special invoice after I bought 1 card on a first order and was unable to purchase 2 more in a second order. It was a pain, but the chat person was helpful.

There seems to be mixed information online regarding the ability to use walgreens giftcards to pay for prescriptions. Some people say it works, others say it does not. Maybe it depends on the state you are in?

Google Gemini told me "Walgreens gift cards cannot be used to pay for prescriptions on Walgreens.com"

Not sure what they issue from "BILT" but if you read that post, it didn't work on ice cream either.

the GIFT CARDS can be used in store for RX copays, but not online.

no they don't. payment by gift card (vs a merchandise credit) counts like paying with cash or CC on Wags cash deals. you'll earn Wcash even on spend related offers (ie spend $45 get $15 Wags Cash)

I had a gift card saved to my walgreens.com account in January and my first checkout using that gift card back in January went smoothly with no issue. I have not done another online order since then. Now I logged into my walgreens.com account and tried to check out my order. In selecting payment screen, my saved gift card was not available for selection, only my credit cards and Paypal. I clicked on edit payment button, and my saved gift card was listed with $0 balance and grayed out. I checked my gift card balance immediately and the balance is $24.00. There is also an 'add payment' option there, I tried to add my gift card again, but it only allowed me to add a credit card. I also tried to add a new gift card, but it still did not allow me to do so.

Right now, it does not appear that I can use my gift card online. The gift card does work in store OK. Go login to your account and see what you find.
