Kingroon's 10 kilogram PLA and PETG bundles are drawing attention for very low per roll pricing, especially with coupon codes like USAA10, USAA7, or USDEAL10. The PLA multicolor and mixed sets print well for everyday use, with good results on statues and warping control on a cool plate, while the PETG packs have produced strong prints in red and black and can work without extra tuning after drying and calibration. Caveats include slow or unreliable shipping on some orders, color shades that can differ from the pictures, and PETG that can string or stick poorly on some printers.

  • Makers printing low-stress PLA parts, because it prints fine for statues and other simple models.

  • Owners of printers that handle mixed PLA colors, because the assorted set can print without warping on a cool plate.

  • People running long PETG jobs, because 10kg of black and white PETG produced no failed prints after drying and calibration.

  • Print farms using multicolor PETG, because the mixed bundle can print well and one code brought the out-the-door cost to about $65.

  • Prints that depend on exact color matching, because the filament colors can look slightly off from the pictures.

  • People needing strong PLA functional parts, because this PLA can be structurally weaker and snap-on features may break after creasing.

  • PETG projects that need reliable first-pass adhesion, because this PETG can string and struggle with adhesion even after drying.

  • Users who need straight spools for AMS loading, because the spools can wobble and may cause loading issues.

I am new to the game. Is this brand any good ? I mostly been buying micro center.
It's great for the price. I've been printing 30+ rolls PLA from them after trying a few brands. No issues, only the color selection does not have many options

is there a way to check what the color list in the different assortment packs instead of guessing by the pictures? Clear can look like white and peach can look like tan and maybe I am on the colorblind spectrum

Thanks, got the PLA assorted. I got the Kobra X and have been using a "cool" plate. It's amazing not having to worry about warping with it.

My best guess follows: black, white, gray, silver, brown (very light brown), red, orange (yellowish), green, blue, and peach.

Anyone know the difference between the older vs newer PLA?
If you're talking about the 1-2 yr shelf life, then older is more brittle. If you're talking about specs: https://www.nevsbye3d.com/blogs/n...difference

It's good quality. Some people complain about the color not being exactly like the pictures (slight shading difference). One reviewer had to increase the nozzle temp. One reviewer recommends vacuum sealing any colors you're not going to use in the next couple months.

I never understand - why is PETG (almost) always cheaper than PLA? Just less popular or is there more to that?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Great price.

Don't need any more filaments, but still purchased one mix color set each of PLA and PETG... because, under $7 a roll after tax, why not!

I ordered the mixed pla a week ago. The colors listed on the boxes are black, white, gray, silver, brown (it's very light brown), red, orange (looks almost yellow), green, blue, and skin (looks like peach). I haven't printed with them yet though
