I picked up one of these about a week ago for this price. I got it because I was so incredibly disappointed with the Meater+ I got for Christmas. The Meater+ is the worst probe and app I have ever used.
This device has been great, their prediction algorithm is much better than Meater. The range has been good, and I appreciate that the device can be used without your phone. It won't give you as much data, but you can still see the temps on the device itself.
The real game-changer is the 5 temperature sensors inside the meat. So it can automatically find the mid-point if you overshoot it.
I did struggle to get the app installed from Thermomaven, though. Google thought it didn't support my phone on Android 13, so I had to side-load it from APKpure. Worked great after I got it installed.
Overall, no regrets. Hopefully it lasts, there were many Amazon reviews where people were showing off their broken devices.

It works. If you are using the app, make sure you press the -> button after you finished entering the code.

Question for those who have/use.For a brisket, ribs, etc.. when I wrap the meat, could I enclose the probe?it won't be submerged, but would be in a 200F steam bath. Also, will the probe be able to still communicate through a double-wrap of heavy foil?
I poke through the wrap

I've gotten these free before, but they're awesome. EACH probe has like 6 different temp sensors in it, including the exposed "cap" part which is safe in direct flame. highly recommended.

I picked up the Typhur deal not to long ago. It's looks like a very similar device. The probes look identical. Very happy their ability to transmit through my smoker.

This seems like a great price. My issue with my Chef-IQ one is that when it sends a notification to my phone, it won't chime. This one may work better.

You're probably right, I may be on the wrong forum, thought this was for people seeking quality products at fair prices.

This is a no go in a sous vide method correct? I guess for that use case it is sort of pointless, but I am curious how waterproof these probes really are.
The amazon page lists IPX8 so continuous submersion in 1 meter of water. Should work for sous vide and not at all pointless if you want to know for sure when things are fully up to temp instead of erroring on the side of time and caution.

Noted. Thank you for your feedback. I am well aware dissenting views are not welcome here. I am also aware that unmoderated personal attacks are encouraged. To all here who enjoy disrespecting me, I encourage you to continue doing whatever gives you joy. To all others, note the lack of tolerance over a Chinese-made kitchen thermometer.

I can't believe I've been looking at these for awhile on here and you all made me buy a set. Let's see how it goes.

Kinda digging this company tbh. Picked up an instant read thermometer for $10, their auto salt and pepper grinders, and made a couple of delicious pork loins with these probes last night.

I sous vide cooked it but probes helped me identify the meat bag was a little cooler than the water bath as well as making sure my meat was properly pasteurized by hanging out at 135*F for enough time on the way to 140.

Just got the following message:

"Your package may have been affected by an issue that occurred in transit. We're sorry for the inconvenience. We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience. We're doing our best to follow up on your package and we'll share an update on Your Orders by April 25."

I was looking forward to using this.

Still waiting on mine as well. Ordered on 4/13, a package left an amazon facility in Liberty, MO on 4/15 with no updates since. The ups tracking number doesn't work on the ups website but amazon says delayed but expected arrival 4/26.

I ordered with an additional non thermomaven item as well and both seem to be in the same package.
