I picked up one of these about a week ago for this price. I got it because I was so incredibly disappointed with the Meater+ I got for Christmas. The Meater+ is the worst probe and app I have ever used.
This device has been great, their prediction algorithm is much better than Meater. The range has been good, and I appreciate that the device can be used without your phone. It won't give you as much data, but you can still see the temps on the device itself.
The real game-changer is the 5 temperature sensors inside the meat. So it can automatically find the mid-point if you overshoot it.
I did struggle to get the app installed from Thermomaven, though. Google thought it didn't support my phone on Android 13, so I had to side-load it from APKpure. Worked great after I got it installed.
Overall, no regrets. Hopefully it lasts, there were many Amazon reviews where people were showing off their broken devices.

Also bought because of my disappointment with meater. Have only used this once but so far so good. Checked temps with my manual thermometer and it came out very close.
I'm an ok bbqer that likes to smoke and grill. Bought ome of these and all of my meats have been turnoput perfectly, very happy. One thing I've been doing is if I want steak but haven't defrosted one is just thaw it until it is barely unfrozen enough to out the probe in. Slow cook it at 225 until the center is room temperature and then just do a regular reverse sear from there. They actually have been turning out great.

Or needed their nearly free calibration services? Best in the business. This superb remote probe is currently $70, a steal https://www.thermoworks.com/products/smoke. I have had it for 15 years. The legendary DOT is now $30. https://www.thermoworks.com/products/dot. Buy 2. The in-every-professional-kitchen Thermapen is now $74

I have this. After doing some research I bought this last year for $130. I've had other, more expensive ones but this one got the best reviews, I couldn't be happier, it's super accurate, consistent, excellent signal strength across the house. I do a ton of grilling and use it several times a week, recharge about once a month. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
