Believe it or not, the softer vinyl plastic one is easier to clean. Squeezing it, you can just pull off all the stuck hair and put it back. I originally got the metal one but it takes longer to cut the stuck on things away.

I give this a third thumbs up. I've had mine for about four years and it works great! I soak it in bleach every three to four months to disinfect it and get it totally clean and shiny.
