You should def read reviews. They have a very deliberate "cool down" period, where if you don't pay for a subscription, after one event, no more events will be sent for 5 minutes, even if someone pushes the ring button. That's pretty much a dead-end for me, but your mileage may vary. if you have a subscription, they're fine. App is ok. They had a lot of privacy issues, "promised" to fix them... not sure if they did or not.

Eufy has a cooldown or Wyze does? This sounds like a Wyze thing, first I've heard of something like that on Eufy. Been looking into non-subscription smart doorbells but every time I turn around it seems like one brand or another has a dealbreaker.

I think the point above is without subscription, there's a 5 minute "cool down" period for notifications, not for recording though. No one is trying to sit on watching the recorded video all the time looking for events. They want to be alerted of them when they happen, preferably subscription free! That said, a Wyze subscription is far cheaper than Ring and so is the actual product from a cost perspective.

Same on Wyze portal
https://www.wyze.com/products/wyz...o-doorbell

How is this different than the V2 version? Pros and Cons would help if someone knows about it.

I can't remember.. Was their privacy breach an employee staying logged in and walking away? Did they have any data hacks or other issues?
