I have a deep chest freezer and I wish it was a standing one. They take up more room horizontally and don't save that much vertically once you consider opening the door and it's always impossible to find stuff at the bottom. In theory they are more efficient when you open the door a lot, but in practice, I usually have to keep the door open longer and, if it's full, I have to physically take stuff out at the top to find other stuff. Mine has 6 bottom dividers and 2 baskets. The baskets are impossible to use b/c the ice builds up and locks them in place quickly. The bottom dividers are nice (growing up my parents' didn't even have that), but still make for some deep storage.

that's nuts. BB lists it as a refrigerator that needs to be delivered and installed like a refrigerator. I think they have that incorrectly categorized.

I have the old version of this and its nice to see they have added some things like a light but I think its a great as a economical freezer. It does require some maintenance like defrosting once or twice a year and a big of digging at the bottom to find things you forgot you have. Tip, keep a box or something to put goods you have pulled out to reach the bottom so you know to put it back.....

I would suggest you pick up the freezer and open it at the store before taking it home. That was the general suggestion years ago since it is easy to dent these in transit. Mine had no issues and the store was happy to let me check first. I brought along a pair of scissors and box cutters so I wouldn't have to ask to borrow any.

I own it, and let me tell you about one issue, if you have any small 2-year-olds crawling around on the floor, they will find that knob and turn it off and all of your food will defrost.
