Community Reviews

The Wurkkos CL01 is a compact omnidirectional lantern that stands out for bedside, camping, and hands free visibility rather than replacing a flashlight. Its low output, dimmable color temperature, RGB modes, bottom glow ring, included lanyards, strong 21700 battery life, and magnetic base make it useful as a reading light, night light, or work light. The light source sits under the caps and sends light through the sides, so it is easier to live with than a harsh exposed LED. The white version is the main discount target, and the tripod is sold separately. A versatile little lantern if you want soft, portable light in more places.

  • campers or people preparing for storm/power outages because commenters used it during a power outage and also mentioned camping as a use case.

    slickd888Tico22

  • people who want a clip-on, omnidirectional visibility light at night because it's very good at what it does and is "non threatening" compared with a headlight (so you're less likely to get yelled at).

    DanielD3712

  • bedroom users who need a dimmable night light because the low lumen mode is easier on the eyes than room lights and the magnet lets you position it (like above the bed) without waking others.

    Tico22

  • photographers doing backlighting who want adjustable color temperature because they used it on lower CCT tints for backlighting photography.

    Tico22

  • truck owners or mechanics who want hands-free under-hood lighting because they stuck it to the underside of the hood for maintenance.

    Tico22

  • buyers who care about battery life and compact features more than RGB because even without RGB modes it's praised for its compact form factor, temperature dial, included lanyards, bottom glow ring, and strong battery life with the 21700.

    coopscoop

  • buyers who specifically need the white color discount code because the coupon was reported as applying only to the white color version (and there were earlier model-specific issues).

    BladeDTico22

  • people expecting a traditional flashlight replacement because the omnidirectional lantern form factor "will absolutely not replace a flashlight," even though it's great for visibility.

    DanielD3712

  • campers who dislike LED lantern glare/disorientation because commenters noted LED lanterns can be hard to look at compared with older propane/camp-fuel lanterns.

This came out to be $6.59 cheaper than when I bought it with the last coupon (7-10 days ago). Called amazon while doing some work and they applied the $6.59 as promotional credit.

Good deal! I bought a couple of these from AliExp in the past at the $23-$25 price. Getting from Amazon is certainly more preferable. Besides camping and storm power outage, I use mine as a portable reading light and night light around bed. Can be dimmed down way low so it doesn't disturb wifey. The magnetic holder is strong and quite useful.

Only works on red & blue models now. It ran out on the white model.

EDIT: Looks like they renewed the discount code for the white model, so it works on all of them.

Agreed. I have found so many more uses for it than I had expected. Thinking about getting the tripod attachment.

I've been using it on the lower CCT tints for backlighting photography. Used it during a power outage. Took it on a cruise with us - all the walls are metal so it sticks anywhere. Used it for maintenance on my truck last week (stuck it to underside of hood).

Thanks. Why did you need it on a cruise?

When you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the low lumen mode of this light is easier on the eyes than the room lights. And you can position it anywhere because of the magnet. I had it stuck to the wall above the bed. Just tap it and you can see where you're going without waking everyone up.

You CREATE the deals and sales, as an employee across the ocean, here constantly spamming us with advertising that pretends to be a community thread.

No, I'm just a flashlight enthusiast in Florida. I work in the insurance industry. I'd love to work for a flashlight company, but sadly there are only a few in the U.S. But I *am* very active in online flashlight groups, which is where I find out about most deals.Happy to have a convo with you, show you my drivers license, voter ID, etc.
