This is the same as that charbroiler one Lowes does at 199. I snagged it to get through a year or two until I can really upgrade. It works, but man, I've never seen a grill so flimsy. I dont expect more than a year honestly. Metal is paper thin, can literally curl this grill with one hand. sans tank lol

Supposedly this Nexgrill one is 8 pounds lighter than the Charbroil at Lowes (which was just $199 last week too). I just got the Charbroil one myself, but haven't put it together. For $199 I'm not expecting much, that's crazy cheap.

I've never had a propane grill and looking to replace my aging charcoal grill. Is this a good introduction to propane and amateur grilling? Use-case is occasional use for family of 5 mostly for burgers and hot dogs. Price looks right if I can also experiment with other things to grill.

YMMV
For me, buying these cheaper grills and tossing a 10-15$ cover on them, some winters in the shed, some winters not in the shed, they last a long time. Like 5-7 years. The cover is doing all the work, regardless of how "flimsy" they are.
Not a charcoal guy, not a hobby guy, just a really quick food guy. I actually think the Weber stuff cooks amazingly well but have never found a need to pull that $$$ trigger with a string of these cheap models with 4-5 burners.

Got one last week. Found it was dented while unpacking. That plus the super thin metal decided to spend double and get a weber.

IME a secondhand Weber is a better way to go. Just avoid any with rusted-out bases. I like the cast-iron grates over the stainless.

this is the way to go, my last nexgrill 4 burner has severe uneven heating zones, my 2nd hand weber genesis was night and day better in everyway

I bought this a few days ago. Lots of steps to put it together. It works okay, but it's not my favorite grill. If I want to just grill a couple hamburgers, I need to turn on at least 2 burners since 1 doesn't seem to do the job. But turning all 4 on gets nice and hot.

It also doesn't have a shelf or anything under it, which I'm used to having, and the propane tank kind of leans weird on a bar and thin metal catch.

For $200 it's fine but you'll be lucky to make it through it's second season. There just not built well. I upgraded to a Weber Spirit, which is there "cheaper" line, and I'm on year 5 and the thing still looks and works great. And it cost me $600 so overall the same amount as buying one of these cheap ones every other year except it cooks evenly.

I have a 6 burner Nexgrill that I have had for 12ish years now. Got it on clearance for around $150. I keep it covered on my deck when not in use and everything has held up well. I am about to buy the replacement heat shields, burners and grates. I want a Weber but no reason to spend the money when this one is still working fine.

I bought one of these NexGrill's when they were on clearance from Home Depot. Looks very similar to this one, except for it having 5 burners and being silver in color, not black. 6 years old. One burner's igniter is busted, so I have to use a lighter or hope the radiant heat from the other 4 burners turn ignite it. The thermometer is broken. The metal is flimsy. The cast iron grates easily rust. It still works for all intents and purposes...probably wouldn't buy again.
