Well that's all gone now. This incompetent administration has killed all the mystique of the US military.

Her interviews and discussions on various podcasts are so interesting. She has so much insight from her research and interviews bringing to light the shadowy side of the US government (and her husky voice reminds me of Gillian Anderson)

I recently read nuclear war and it was amazing! I'm currently 50% done with operation paperclip via audio book. Good book also. I'll definitely keep reading or listening to the rest of what she has.

Outstanding book! One of the main characters is Billy Waugh — an absolute legend I'd never heard of. Tried to enlist in WWII but was underage. Became a pioneering Green Beret, ran MACV-SOG missions in Vietnam (wounded 8 times), then joined the CIA. In the '90s in Sudan, he was the first to photograph Osama bin Laden and wanted to take him out. He also led the surveillance that helped capture Carlos the Jackal in Khartoum. His final mission? Fighting in Afghanistan at age 71–72 right after 9/11. Ended up reading his memoir Hunting the Jackal next. Highly recommend!
