  • The world's most powerful robot vacuum.¹ 2x the suction of any other robot vacuum.¹
  • Sucks up more than any other robot on all floors.² Dyson's first brush bar to combine three ways to deep clean. Engineered with a wide diameter to reduce long hair and pet hair tangling.
  • Control your clean or let your Dyson robot do it for you. Choose between four power modes: Auto, Boost, Quick, and Quiet. In Auto mode, the 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum automatically adapts suction power to debris level.³
  • Unlike side sweepers that flick dirt away, Dyson sucks up dirt right to the edge of your wall. An automatic extending side duct redirects suction that's powerful enough to capture debris right up to the wall.
  • Cleans far. Cleans fast. An 11.8-inch brush bar covers more floor with every sweep, and Quick mode prioritizes speedy cleans. Up to 65 minutes of run time, before automatically recharging, ready to clean again.⁴
  • Intelligent. Independent. Sees where it needs to clean and remembers where it's been – just like you would. With 26 sensors, 360° navigation, a low-profile design, and dual-link suspension, it reaches far and avoids getting stuck.
  • Clean. Wherever you are. Set-up requires connection to the MyDyson app. This unlocks your robot's intelligent features – mapping your home, choosing cleaning modes for each room, setting areas to avoid, smart scheduling, and clean time estimates.
  • Whole-machine HEPA filtration. Dyson's fully sealed HEPA filtration system traps dust and seals in 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns –including allergens and pet dander.⁵
  • Protects your data. Dyson is committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected and never misused. The robot's camera spots shapes and contrasts within your home, but will never save, record, or send any images.
  • Gives maintenance alerts and receives automatic software updates over Wi-Fi with the latest Dyson functionality and features.

I've been a loyal Roborock customer over the years. Swear by their models. Any input on how these compare?

I returned mine. When it works it is great. But the navigation is terrible, most of the time it gets lost and could not find way back to the station.

Dyson robovacs are some of the industry worst in contrast to almost every other manual vacuum they make. This particular model has terrible navigation, no mopping, poor battery life, and lacks an autonomous dock. Steer clear of dyson's robovacs and go for a roborock, dreame, or the like.

How is this for (dry) cat food? My guy is a messy eater.

Considering this just for his food bowl area (think I can dock it under the sink with some sawing)

I love mine, and I think you will too—as long as you accept that it needs a well-lit space to run properly and works best as a secondary unit or in a simple room setup. I mainly use mine for deep-cleaning carpets, and it does a great job there.

It's not a 100% hands-free unit. Most robot vacuums under $500 get stuck sometimes, and this one is no exception.

Everything people say about the navigation is true. At its original price, I honestly can't see how they released it to market. But at its current price, if you understand what it's good at—and what it isn't—it's well worth it.

At its current price, it can almost pay for itself. You don't need to buy bags, the filter just needs to be washed instead of replaced, and the brush head doesn't need frequent replacement.

In terms of physical build quality, it's the best robot vacuum I've used. It's built like a tank.

One thing to watch out for: if you have very low furniture, it can rub against the camera lens and potentially scratch it. You can also add no-go zones to any problematic areas that might cause lens scratches. That said, I haven't noticed any performance issues so far.

For at least 12 years, I've had Neato D3, D5, D7, and D10 robots in my house. Neato went out of business, so controlling them has become difficult, and I now have to start them manually.I bought a Dyson robot vacuum on a previous sale. Setup took a while, and drawing the map was tedious because the editor is poor, but once I finished, everything worked perfectly. Its navigation is better than Neato's, and although it is very noisy, the suction is good. Now it cleans over 600 square feet in about 3 hours with one recharge. I have no regrets so far

Navigation is all over the place, but it gets a job done. Navigation is nothing like RR, but suction and cleaning power is so far above, there's no competition.
These perform like literally like Dyson stick vacs. Run one after you've already vacuumed with your Roborock, and be shocked by how much it picks up. Add to that forever filters.
This is a great deal so long as you don't need mopping, which I don't find useful, or a "self" emptying dock, which I don't really need.
I retired both of my Roborock vacuums from both levels: R-2 (White) and BB–8 (Black)

This is an accurate assessment, but I kept mine. You can't beat that cleaning power, and once it started, I forget it.
make sure you update the firmware as soon as you get it. It has the best navigation it's ever gonna get, but you gotta get it via the firmware which is pretty simple.

Another tip if you create your map and it seems like it didn't create the map just exit the app and go right back in. It's the only real glitch that I found in the software. Everything else works fine.
As far as the unit finding its way back, stick your dock by itself on the wall and give it a lot of space on the left and the right. If that's not an option just stick it wherever and don't worry about it. It'll get there eventually 🤣

To this criticism, I would say: if you're buying a robot vacuum to vacuum your floor and you want your floor as clean as possible, you can't do better than this Dyson.
I don't disagree with any other criticisms, but you're not gonna get the same cleaning from these other brands and some of these other brands like dreame are just crappy and unreliable (some models), plus you pay an arm and a leg. It's ridiculous.

I've tried a number of robot vacs and none remove embedded pet hair from carpet like the dyson. Every critique of this thing is correct, it's a terrible robot, but it's an amazing vacuum.
