The Avata 2 Fly More Combo is an FPV drone bundle built for fast, fun flying, with a very good camera and a learning curve that first time pilots will feel. The Goggles 3 version stands out for premium display, smoother motion, comfort, and broader compatibility with DJI O3 and O4 air units, which can make it useful beyond the Avata 2. The bundle includes the same controller and three batteries as the cheaper Goggles N3 package, so the main tradeoff is the goggles. It is less about cinema footage and more about an easy, high energy FPV experience.

  • The Avata 2 combo can deliver an easy FPV flying experience with a very good camera for fun-focused sessions.

  • The Fly Smart Combo and similar bundles include the same controller and three batteries, with the goggles being the main difference.

  • Goggles 3 and FPV Controller 3 can connect to DJI O3 and O4 air units, enabling binding with many O3/O4-supported drones.

  • The goggles setup supports diopter adjustment and prescription inserts for vision correction.

  • First-time FPV use can involve a learning curve that may limit early flight time.

  • Wind or rainy conditions can reduce how much the drone gets flown after purchase.

  • The deal can appear to be dead after shipping, which can disrupt timing for checkout.

  • Additional accessories like ND filters and an FPV Controller 3 may add roughly $250 to the overall budget.

To me, mini 4 or 5 pro are better choices even tho I wanted to use FPV drone a lot.

Having both Avata 2 and Mini 5 - you're completely wrong.

They are very different, and currently Mini 5 can't use FPV goggles at all.

Shipped! Great deal -- now appears to be dead.

Get yourself some ND filters and DJI FPV controller 3 too so budget another $250.

Great deal. I got mine the last time. Just needed the goggles 3. That itself sells for $500 or more.I don't think anyone on this thread mentioned it. But the goggles 3 (and the FPV controller 3) can connect to DJI O3 and O4 air units. This essentially makes it compatible with almost unlimited number of drones. (At least models with O3/O4 support).I have the following drones binded to my Goggles3.DJI Neo, DJI Neo2, DJI Air 3, GepRC Darkstar22, GepRC Vapor D5, DeepSpace Seeker3. DJI Avata2
So this is the exact reason I am looking at this particular drone. I do not own any drones and have used a few of my friends DJI Mini's before but I really want FPV. Eventually probably a Vapor D5 with O4 Pro, so I need the Goggles 3 anyway. I see the South Korean sellers on eBay are selling this combo for $760 and I'm wondering if I should do it or not. Also not sure what other parts I need to make a D5 work, but if I have an Avata 2, I have a feeling I won't really seek out anything else for a long time. Also kinda worried about ALL DJI drones getting grounded and not sure how the FAA stuff works for the heavier ones.
