80 bucks for a watch band absolutely sounds like something apple would do 😅
Agreed, but TBH all of apple's bands are extremely high quality. Im still dailying my original silicon band from 2020, plus used their braided band extensively for a year, plus have the leather strap - all at a fraction of listing price from woot
Good watch bands are expensive, in general. Cheap watch band alternatives are usually not similar in quality and don't last (with some exceptions).
the only one that's actually justified is the metal ones from apple because you need good stainless steel to last. their elastomer bands for 50 are a total rip off but you can get it for 10 on sale and it is a really good band too

It looks nice, it's a pain to clean - use an ultra-sonic cleaner or it will start smelling due to all the groves catching skin/debris/dust/moisture.Don't recommend for daily use in hot climates, will start to rub against your wrist and make your skin irritable.I don't recommend this as a daily driver. I switched to silicone strips none of these issues occurred.Would only recommend this for casual/formal wear.
I've worn one of these daily for several years, and I've never had to clean it beyond occasional rinsing it with water and wiping it with a cloth. No stink. No gunk. Still looks new. I used to buy the cheap non-apple Milanese bands, and they'd scratch and the finish would fade after 6 months. I'm very happy with this Apple band.
I bought one from Woot but couldn't wear it due to it ripping out arm hair immediately after putting it on. Readjusting didn't help. My arms aren't even that hairy. I don't know how this isn't talked about more.
Just got the Milanese Loop recently for my Series 11. It's great in Cali weather. no issues. Thought the magnet closure was weird but actually very secure and strong if anyone is worried about that.

I think this is just a me issue. I have skinny wrist and got the smallest size watch and its still slightly loose come to think of it, so it guess it rubs overtime -- so for me its constantly rubbing against my wrist. I didn't think about it until now as no one else had this band that I knew.
