This will probably be like the PS5 thread, where prices don't immediately change for most retailers on Sunday (except Meta themselves). Most likely, retailers will sell through existing stock and then increase prices when they reorder. While in my honest opinion, none of these are worth the price they're increasing to, I wanted to post for awareness for anyone on the fence about purchasing.

Nice! I haven't felt like I was "winning" enough this week with gas prices!!

This reminds me just how tired of it I have become!!

Community Reviews

Meta Quest headsets stand out for VR gaming, movie watching, and mixed reality content, with Quest 3 especially praised for its pancake lenses, sharp streaming from a PC, and strong experiences like 3D movies and virtual pinball. The current pricing is drawing attention because the lower holiday and clearance deals are gone, and restocks are already pushing prices up at many retailers. The main drawbacks are comfort and value, since the headset can feel heavy, the Quest 3S lenses are seen as a step down, and the new prices make upgrades harder to justify. A solid option if the features matter more than chasing the old sale price.

Why would they increase price? Aren't sales dropping?

Raise prices will mean they'd sell less units and still maintain revenue

Finally got a pc powerful enough for vr and thought about upgrading my Quest 2. I'll stick with the Q2 for those prices.

okay i just checked. my first result was walmart. they did increase it by $100 for the digital version but it's on sale for like $509 i believe. But i'm not gonna do a full check and waste my time, no offense. My 2nd result show newegg still showing for $499 which u can buy now and I'm reading that other stores like amazon, target still have it the digital version for $499 but they go out of stock fast. But like i said u can just buy it straight off Newegg for regular price. Word of caution: please don't fomo into these things.
