FWIW, I was able to increase the pressure of four tires by 3 psi which took about 20 minutes. You might be able to use it once to fill up a tire after patching a hole.

Do what you will, but I would not trust this for emergency use on a full sized car. Much larger devices have a hard time inflating car tires from 0 to full before they either overheat and shut down or they max out on pressure and can't inflate anymore. Often that is well below their rated pressure limit.
If you need to top off your tires it might okay, though I bet it's slow. At a minimum I'd get a slightly bigger one that plugs into the 12V or connects directly to the battery.
