Lenovo is trying to trick consumers into this being a deal.
Gen 4 never made it to the U.S.
Gen 5 is supposedly U.S. bound in June.
This is not a deal, this is a low key attempt to offload old hardware and try to confuse customers into thinking they are getting a bargain.
Community Reviews
The Legion Tab Gen 3 is a compact 8.8 inch Android gaming tablet that stands out for snappy performance, a very good display, strong battery life, and easy portability. It is especially appealing for gaming and emulation, with Fortnite running smoothly and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 still seen as capable for Windows and mobile gaming. The main drawback is the missing microSD card slot, which matters for emulation and storage. Software support and update longevity are also a concern for some, though Lenovo's track record offers some reassurance.
Mobile gamers wanting a compact Android slate, because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 runs Fortnite smoothly and the 8.8-inch size is easy to carry.
Readers and web browsers wanting a small tablet, because it feels like a large phone and is called a no-brainer for news, social media, and browsing.
Emulation players needing stable Android performance, because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is described as especially stable for emulators.
Android tablet shoppers who want a strong battery, because it is described as lasting far longer than comparable Samsung tablets.
Tablet buyers who need expandable storage for offline media or emulation libraries, because this model has no microSD card slot.
Shoppers who expect long software support, because Lenovo's update runway is viewed as short and the tablet is expected to get only one more major OS update.
Gamers who want a larger handheld screen, because the 8-inch class is considered too small for comfortable gaming.
Owners who need rock-solid charging hardware, because the USB-C ports can become loose and cause disconnects.

iPad mini is the best tablet at this size, but if you are in the market for a similar Android tablet, there is not really a better choice.
