Only mentioning this because of the other Ring deals. I have both Ring & Nest cameras. Ring's app is so much better, I would never buy another Nest product (now Google Home). The google home app crashes nearly every time I use it to intercom. Under normal ops it heats my phone excessively. It's clumsy & slow. Obviously a buggy web app. Ring is reliable, responsive, and has much more advanced features for event and alert management. Ring hardware is more responsive too. Don't put any money in Nest -- it's an afterthought product for Google

Go away from big data cameras who will keep trying to squeeze every penny as well as hoarding your data and get one that is subscription free and can record on sdcard
