The MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G GAMING TRIO OC (Factory Reconditioned) - $599.99 is very tempting. If they had it in white, I would probably buy it.

Yeah, that's a good price, but it's only like $80 off the new price being refurbished. Just picked up that card new two months ago and it's a great performer. Upgraded from my 3080 and it made a big difference.

I'm currently on a 3080 as well. What were the most noticeable differences you saw after upgrading—FPS gains, ray tracing performance, DLSS, or overall smoothness?

I would rather pay a little extra money and buy from reputable vendor like Microcenter or newegg than questionable one like woot! I've bought too many items that claimed to be "new" but were far from it. Never again will I be duped by this farce company

All of the above. I could also run higher texture packs due to the 12GB. Frame rates in games like Far Cry 6, Elite Dangerous, Cyberpunk 2077, etc literally doubled.

On top of that, your 3080 card will sell on eBay for $250 pretty easily, so that's a big chunk of the upgrade cost.

Obligatory reminder on the 5070 VRM overheating issue as per Igor labs and Tomshardware. Get a version that has VRM heatpads on the backplate.
