This iBUYPOWER Slate packs a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RX 9070 XT, 32GB of DDR5, and a 2TB SSD into a strong gaming rig that feels like a solid value at this price. The build has been running smoothly for some and the performance has been described as fantastic, with the current market making the RAM and storage look especially competitive. The main cautions are iBUYPOWER's reputation for cheaper motherboard, cooler, and power supply parts, plus reports of a hot running AIO and awkward BIOS updating. It looks like a capable high end prebuilt if those tradeoffs are acceptable.
people who want a smooth-running gaming desktop right away because after getting it up and running it's been operating smoothly with no regrets so far.
buyers who are mainly optimizing for value on RAM and storage because commenters said the build still seems like good value given market pricing for RAM/storage even though iBUYPOWER sometimes uses lower-tier parts elsewhere.
gamers who are okay doing minor maintenance because one owner planned to repaste the 360mm AIO after a week since it ran hot.
people who need server-style, high-core CPU configurations because one commenter wished the AMD GPU deals came paired with higher-end 16-core CPUs for that use case.
buyers who want to avoid iBUYPOWER prebuilt reliability risk because one commenter called iBUYPOWER a "shitty company" and advised avoiding their prebuilt PCs.
people who want easy BIOS upgrades because a recent buyer said BIOS upgrade is hard and "you cannot od it from the bios."
buyers who rely on long-term component durability without needing replacements because commenters reported friends' prebuilt failures like an SSD slot 0 dying after ~2 years and a RAM stick going bad (though replacements fixed things).

Regardless, this build seems like a good value understanding where market prices are for Ram and memory.
Tempting but i'm not sure how an ATI card nowadays compares to nvidia when it comes to gaming, and my 4070 is good enough for now. Hoping for AI crash so prices can get back to reality.
