This is the fist knife I bought that got me into collecting much more high end knives. I have about 30 folders now and this is still one of the most substantial knives I own. It would be more than sufficient to use for out in the woods tasks that is suitable for fixed blade knives

I'm not huge on AUS10A, but this knife is affordable enough that I'm not worrying about babying it. I have a Cold Steel in S35VN that I mostly keep at home since I don't want to damage it (again, I dropped it tip down onto tile... ouch).

They should have named the 5-max the 7.5-max cause it costs 7.5x as much as the 4-max!!

Should the title be updated to not say the handle is G-10?
The text in the one image says it's Griv-Ex instead of G-10, as does the body of the OP.

Edit: I see the title from Amazon incorrectly has G-10 mentioned.

This knife will be here after the cockroaches have died. I love the Scout.

I got this off the previous front page deal, and let me just echo from the previous comments that this is a BIG OL' KNIFE. I was looking for a BIG OL' KNIFE and I'm quite satisfied with what I got, especially for what I paid.
