I had a use case that couldn't support the usual kick down hold open, so that was a bit of a bummer.

Also, just came in handy for my foot fracture and having to use a scooter while I stay off my foot. Easy to release you just push in the door on the magnet a bit and the momentum perfectly comes off.
They will let you mix and match door plates. I have black hardware on white doors so I needed black caps with white plates and they accommodated.

They worked for me on my auto close so ymmv. I have an older house so maybe the mechanism was weaker
I can say that new-ish code requires at least 20min fire rating on that door, making for weight differences right off the bat.
Factor in the resistance required for the beefy weather seal, self-latching per code, drag from the threshold, etc.
The difficulty I had is that I couldn't get a proper tension on the closer that would both close the door properly and allow the magnet to hold.
One thing I didn't try was moving the closer hinge, but it's not recommended in certain climates because it can warp the door.
