These addlon outdoor string lights are a budget 100 foot set that stands out for low price, remote control, and easy setup on patios, decks, and gazebos. The Edison style bulbs are described as bright and attractive, and the remote and dimming functions work well out of the box. The main tradeoff is sparse coverage, with 30 bulbs and about 3 foot spacing that can look too spread out compared with Costco Feit sets. Durability also looks less certain, with reports of delicate plastic, occasional dead bulbs, and water inside, so they suit lighter duty use.

  • The lights can work right out of the box with the remote controlling dim and brighten functions.

  • The remote reportedly works very well after installation.

  • The wiring reportedly uses rubber rather than hard plastic, which can help with flexibility for outdoor setups.

  • The lights can fit around a 10x10 gazebo, making them practical for that patio layout.

  • The bulb spacing can feel too sparse, with about 36 inches between bulbs creating wide gaps in coverage.

  • The lights may be dimmer than the product photos show, which can reduce visibility for parties.

  • Some units reportedly require linking two 50-ft strings, and certain bulbs may fail to light when powered.

  • Water intrusion can occur, with reports of seeing water inside the string lights.

Has anyone had issues with rain water getting in the bulbs and shorting out?

This is the standard spacing for Cafe / Patio lights. I have two different sets (incandescent & LED) and both have 3ft between bulbs.

And it is 0.914 meter, for the non-U.S. SD'ers.

There's the exception.

FWIW:

The Feit are $26.99 for 48 ft.

These are $17 for 100 ft.

These are like a cheap child's toy compared to the costco versions.

It's 30 bulbs for 100 feet. 15 bulbs for 50ft. Costco provides 24 bulbs for 48ft. Recent price in north Texas Costco for 48ft is about $22.
