Last thing I would trust is a Ring Doorbell.

Only if you want to use their cloud storage to store and be able to watch old footage. For regular live video, doorbell use, it's not required.

I recently switched from Google Nest cams to Ring and it's night and day. Ring's apps, notifications, controls and overall reliability are far more advanced and mature. The cameras are instantly responsive, and offer tons of controls for privacy masks , alert windows, face detection. And the embedding / object detection is excellent for quickly finding events . Woot has excellent deals i recommend buying 2 of these so you can rotate the battery (charge 1 , run 1)

Ring will give your footage to authorities without consent and are part of the FLOCK surveillance system. Sure we're all law abiding citizens here, but if you're even remotely concerned with privacy RING is probably the last thing you want to get. I had several installed for years now and stopped using them the moment they announced they would be part of a nationwide surveillance program. I just can't trust them anymore. Not to mention the subscription fees. There are better options out there. Just my two cents

I'm not familiar with TPLink for security, but given how comprehensive Ring is (Cameras, security sensors, home security systems , software products etc)-- I would put Ring at the top of the home security solutions list.
