Good for the price, but some stuff to keep in mind:

👍 Thinkpad quality.
👎 10th gen (quad core) is okay. (7 years old...)
👍 Thunderbolt 3 (allows eGPUs, among other things...)
🤷 ♂️ Doesn't say, but some of the RAM is soldered. Whether its 8gb or 16gb soldered is unknown.
👎 Doesn't mention backlit keyboard, and I don't see the button in the pics...
💀 This model came with 1 of 4 different FHD screens. Assume that its teh worst one at 250 nits.
👎 Warranty doesn't cover the battery... Doesn't say anything about battery life.

Check and compare passmark on this (particularly single core) vs a modern device and you'll see it's pretty pokey; it's probably priced about right if you're slow-speed-tolerant.
Anytime you need to compare, a passmark comparison of the single core CPU speed should be your first google.

This is a Gen 1...and you should be able to find a newer refurb gen 3 or gen 4 for not much more...I'd probably go with that.

Typically if using Intel graphics, the RAM is a stick...if using AMD, then the RAM is soldered (at least for later versions of the T14, this seems to be the case)

They are decent computers. 8th Gen business laptops like Latitude or Thinkpad are fine. They are a dime a dozen. Depending on your finances, if a person has a bit of money, might want to look at something newer, but these laptops are fine for everyday use.

This would be perfectly acceptable with Linux. Heck of a deal if your not bound and chained by Microsoft or Apple.

These are good computers however this model probably has the 250 nit screen you may want to try and get one with a better display. X1 Carbons prob would not be that much more

Thunderbolt is nice, but I'd argue that the clientele that would care about such things would probably want a faster machine to begin with, as this one is slow in 2026.

Ancient and battery hungry processor. You can generally find this same ThinkPad with 11th Gen i5 $10-$50 more.

I wouldn't consider Intel's laptop CPUs before 12th gen, even in a cheap laptop.

Solid choice as a laptop for everything except gaming. You can plug it into HDMI and use it for watching movies on TV instead of a streaming stick. and take it with you on vacations instead of a fancy expensive laptop. Good price for $204

Not refurbished -- used. They didn't clearly state what they did to refurbish the unit, so therefore they did nothing.
