TP-Link's BE11000 mesh system stands out as a cheap way to get WiFi 7, tri band coverage, and four 2.5 Gbps ports per unit, with easy setup, strong app control, and solid performance for many homes. It also works well with older 2.4 and 5 GHz devices and can serve as a Matter controller. The main cautions are that advanced features like parental controls are subscription based, setup is app and account only, and some units run warm or have disconnect and roaming issues. A strong value if you can find it in stock.

  • The router can be managed easily and it works with older 2.4/5 GHz devices without turning one off in the app.

  • The system can deliver strong Wi‑Fi 7 throughput in a 2-bedroom apartment without crashes or disconnects so far.

  • The wired ports appear to support 2.5 Gbps backhaul for faster local networking even when ISP speeds are lower.

  • The mesh setup can be quick, with some installs reported to get everything running in about ten minutes.

  • The Costco app and warehouse inventory lookups can be inaccurate, including cases where stores show stock but units are actually out.

  • The system can run warm, and firmware updates may be a concern for performance stability.

  • Connectivity can be unstable for some setups, including disconnects every 15-20 minutes or roaming problems that drop calls and require reboots.

  • Advanced features like parental controls are subscription-based, and separate weekday versus weekend schedules require an additional subscription.

Can anyone confirm if they were able to get a price match at the store by buying it online?

Everybody's situation is different, but I've got a centrally positioned Flint 2 on my 1/4 acre lot, and I've got a great signal from corner to corner. I used to have mesh units, but once I got that flint 2, I found that I didn't need them anymore.
my flint 2 is hard to centrally position. i think that's part of my problem. I've been using those lovely $15 Linksys units but would really like something more cohesive.

Has anyone tested the stability/speed of the factory firmware vs the update? Mine comes with 1.1.6 Build 20250220 Rel 28737. Speedtests are pretty good.

You can try but probably not unless the store has the price you want and some units in stock.
I just tried and they have stopped price adjusting online items at warehouse. For context, the warehouse I went to shows in stock and the manager confirmed they have 1 unit which is unsalable for some reason but technically it shows in stock.

I have the WiFi 6e version of this router. Two things of note - 1. These are great routers in terms of stability. However, their range is definitely much lower than some of their competitors (like Orbi for example). Of course, Orbi routers tend to be much more expensive, so this is understandable. Just something to be aware of. I don't have an exceptionally big home, but with 3 routers I couldn't get a strong connection from my computer room to the main router downstairs. I had to buy another 2 pack to have good coverage everywhere.2. Their parental controls suck. Can't believe how bad it is. If you turn off a device via parental controls, it'll still stay connected for hours. And once you turn it back on, it won't connect back immediately. You have to keep toggling the setting on/off and power-cycling the unit for it to connect back. I'm not alone in this issue. This was not a problem with our older Orbi routers, where turning off internet on/off on a device was instantaneous.
I turn off devices a few times per week using the software and never experience that. It's been flawless in this regard for a years.

I bought this 15 days ago at $299 from Warehouse.

I went to Costco in-person today, and showed them the price has been reduced to $99, although the product is Out of stock. The manager was kind and refunded me with the remainder of the money. So, I paid $99 in total. Thank you OP for this post.

"Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days"

https://customerservice.costco.co...-policy%3F

Am I wrong? I don't see networking devices specifically listed but I wouldn't like to test it.
No need to test it; the Electronics are only exclusive to what is specifically listed in black and white. There is a reason there are items spelled out specifically; devil is in the details. Also I believe those items specifically named were due to consumers heavily abusing the policy in the past. I recall the days Televisions were not excluded and had life time return. Those that bought in the past prior to the policy changes were grandfathered and were able to return their "unsatisfactory" TVs.

In addition, monitors are not Televisions too. Monitors are also not 90 days. Televisions have tuners built-in, monitors do not.

As more return abuse is performed in an abundance on certain items, Costco will adjust their policies accordingly.

Bought one late last year and never opened it. Found out about this deal yesterday. Of course all the stores show either out of stock or limited stock. Attempted to return/rebuy at nearest store that shown out of stock. Clerk was being a jerk and telling the supervisor that they don't do that.

Drove to 2nd Costco (that shows Limited Stock) and in and out in 5 minutes with it re-bought at $99 price. Best customer service ever.
