From the reviews it appears there is no local setup. You have to connect to some cloud service. :-/

Heads up! This can also function as a thread border router to control your matter devices!

If I didn't just upgrade my network, I'd pounce on this

I may have to go to Costco and check.

Are the advanced features paywalled on this unit? I recall that's why I haven't upgraded from my older Deco units, not sure if they are still charging for parental controls and whatnot.
I believe they are but would like to know for sure. So annoyed when I upgraded some older Deco units to only find out the newer model I got did in fact block some advanced features like parental controls. Very frustrating and annoying. This might be worth just buying and even holding onto or reselling and making a profit.

The app says my store has it in stock for $99 but I was there yesterday and I called just now and they are out of stock. In other words don't trust the app warehouse search. Same day delivery lookup is probably more accurate.

I should mention that I have these units already and they are decent but they run pretty warm and the last firmware update was in December.

Out of stock at both locations In Louisville (Ky). Great price. Like, this would not be my first choice, but for $100 it's a no-brainer. There are guides online to getting an optimal setup from this.

It's a good deal price wise, but WiFi 7 is serious overkill for probably 80% of home users. It is good for future proofing your system if that is something you want to do but WiFi 6 will be absolutely fine for the next couple of years. There are also some reported problems with the home unit disconnecting from the satellite units sometimes (could be frustrating for some).

Since the stores are closing this out, you could also watch to see if Costco's Online store marks them as "While Supplies Last".

They offer some basics but yes, much of the advanced features are subscription based.

You can set bedtime for devices but only a single time for every day. If you want separate times for week days and weekend days you have to subscribe.

The wired ports all look like 2.5 Gbps, so could make beefy backhaul for fast local network even if your ISP can't offer that much. Still, very YMMV with lots OOS or not sold at many locations.
