only 60hz qled. seems like regular price these days. Bestbuy has hisense/tcl 120hz/144hz native mini-led 85" pop up every now and then for $680-700.

Agreed...you are much better off, in my opinion with a Hisense U7 than this

This Samsung is not a really good set in the grand scheme of things

From rtings:

Pros
* Black levels and colors are barely affected by ambient lighting.
Cons
* Not bright enough in SDR to overcome glare in well-lit rooms.
* Too dim in HDR for highlights to stand out.
* Sub-par contrast and no local dimming means blacks look grayish.
* Doesn't support modern gaming features like HDMI 2.1, 120Hz, and VRR.
* Sub-par reflection handling means visibility is an issue in a bright room.

Trying to find a good TV for grandpa for watching in his (bright) living room, but this ain't gonna be it.

The 5 year warranty sweetens the deal at Costco.

Honest question, any discernible differences between 60Hz vs 120Hz? I have two older (like 10-year-old) 55-inch TVs and am thinking of making a change.

I think so...especially if you are a gamer or you like watching movies

If you have 10 year old sets..there was 120hz capable panels then as well

In this price range( ish) you might look at the TCL 75 QM6 at Best Buy

Much better performing than the TV in this thread

My wife and I bought the display model today for $400 and I paid with my Costco credit card. I feel like I still overpaid for a TV with old tech, but my wife didn't want to wait for a newer one to drop in price. Oh well, at least she's happy with the purchase...
