Makita tools are good, these boxes are junk compared to other offerings. Bought a few and regret it.

If I'm not mistaken, the makpac containers are considered classic Tanos products which were followed by T-loc and Gen3. They are all compatible with each other across manufacturers...Festool, I think Mafell, Mirka, etc. If you have to have a box that integrates with all the systainers that came with your tools, I get it. Otherwise, these are exactly what you think they are...branded plastic boxes. I have a couple that came with tools and do use them to stack with each other, but I don't feel the need personally to buy empty matching boxes. If it fits your setup, go for it!

Looks like just a plastic box. I don't even see any organizers.

They're not fully interchangeable. You can put a systainer3 on top of one of these but you can't put one of these on top of a systainer3. Well, you can but there's no way to latch them together

Right, this is the normal price. Bought this exact model less than a year ago for $37.

Have a Makita shop vac so this worked perfectly to sit on top and hold my sander / discs / attachments, but if you're looking for something rugged to be transported and brought on site, I wouldn't get this. Not flimsy, but doesn't feel nearly as robust as my Milwaukee Packout boxes.

I shaved down the latches a little (the side parts that friction fit into the box) with a utility knife and applied some wax to them and they're surprisingly pleasant to use now
