Yeah the replacement heads are expensive but they last for 3+ months or longer. I don't get it, why buy a premium electric tooth brush and then skimp on the most critical part, the heads. I wouldn't trust the knock off Chinese brands and what they'll do long term to your gums. Just my opinion.

I think I've seen them for the fat Sonicare toothbrushes but not so much for these slimmer ones. That being said, the A3 brush heads are also on sale for $50, just got mine delivered Friday.

Because they're plastic bristles? Talking about things to trust, this WOULD be one of those things to trust China can't mess up.

I've been disappointed with these multiple times in the past where the brush stops working properly because the metal tip becomes loose on the inside and you have to tighten a screw time to time

I've been using Sonicare for about three decades. Keep in mind as you look at Sonicare products that the cheapest device they make works pretty much as well as the most expensive ones they make if you follow the directions.

The expensive ones have really stupid bullshit like wi-fi/bluetooth, apps, and a bunch of other unnecessary shit. I tried a top of the line unit once, and on DAY ONE after I finished brushing the app alerted me the brush needed changing and would not stop alerting and complaining about it until I put in another one. Drove it all back to Costco the same day.

It's welded now on these "next generation" models.

Yeah as long as you avoid the 4100's and below (they have a weaker motor) the rest are the same except for the bells & whistles features. Do you need various modes or intensities, or any of the stuff you mentioned? Probably not. That being said, I recently learned of a $100 Oclean X Ultra S that has a Ukrainian lady who speaks through your teeth. Look it up lol. If that ever hits a daily deal site for like 30 bucks I know who's buying one
