They are different; the one from Costco is still an LED TV, basically has way fewer dimming zones than the QN90D, which is a Mini LED panel.

Mini LED is way closer to the OLED quality, and the QN90 series from Samsung great series with good blacks

Noob question. Is this TV that good to justify almost double the price from this $570, 75" Samsung QLED TV from Costco?: https://slickdeals.net/f/19434150-samsung-75-class-q7f-qled-series-4k-vision-ai-smart-tv-allstate-3-year-protection-plan-bundle-included-for-5-years-of-total-coverage-569-99-fs-costco-569-99
I don't believe it's the same TV. This one is a Mini LED TV (called Neo QLED by Samsung) and the one from Costco is just a QLED, two different technologies. I know it's confusing. Digital Trends has a very good video on YouTube explaining the difference in panel technology, you should check it out

Thanks a lot for clarifying. I never had a doubt that these two are different TVs - that part I was clear. I was just wondering why such a stark price difference. I guess being Mini-LED explains the price difference.

Also this one is the 2024 model (the D in the name, the Costco is the 2025(F). Even if they might seem to be a good deal, but imo there is no reason for someone to buy an LED TV instead a Mini LED in 2026, there is such a huge difference in term of brightness and other stuff

I have the 85" version of this and the picture quality is fantastic. Great fo bright rooms where OLEDs may suffer

Mini LED is the way to go for the price savings and picture quality is getting close compare to OLED unless you're comparing it side by side. Mini LED is noticeably better than LED. Mini LED can get brighter than OLED therefore it's better in bright condition and picture quality is almost there.
  • LED (Traditional): Uses a few dozen to a few hundred large backlight zones. This often results in weaker contrast, lighter black levels (dark gray), and noticeable backlight blooming around bright objects.
  • Mini LED: A massive upgrade to traditional LED, using thousands of tiny LEDs to create hundreds or thousands of local dimming zones. This provides significantly better black levels, higher contrast, and less haloing, though it still relies on a backlight.
  • OLED (Organic LED): Each of the 8+ million pixels (on a 4K display) acts as its own light source, allowing it to turn off completely. This results in technically infinite contrast and zero blooming, as light is perfectly controlled at the pixel level.

The ONLY Samsung LED TV worth buying is their QN90 series and at $1K this is a great deal.
Don't waste your time with the Q7F.... at one time Samsung's 6/6000 7/7000 & 8/8000 were worth purchasing but that was along time ago.

Got the 85in version of this at this price from Sam's Club in December. While not as slick of a deal, the TV is excellent. I went from a 65in Sony OLED and have zero regrets.

Totally different tv. Q7F doesn't have local dimming at all, 60hz and not that bright. The QN90D is a mini-led tv with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports with 120hz. It gets extremely bright.

I've got the 75" QNX1D (QN85D equivalent) and think it looks pretty great. Would buy this in a heartbeat at this price if I needed it.

Nice deal...this is a very solid all around TV

I think Hisense and TCL have surpassed this model...but at this price they are actually more expensive
