This compact 7 in 1 GaN travel power strip stands out for packing 65W USB C charging into a small body, with three AC outlets, two USB C ports, two USB A ports, and a built in cord. The form factor and short cord make it handy for hotels, older homes, couches, and cruise cabins where outlets are scarce. The main concerns are the missing surge protection, unclear UL certification, and confusing 125V versus 240V labeling. Power sharing also drops fast across ports, so it works best when charging just a few devices at once.

  • The built-in USB ports can support higher-power charging for travel setups.

  • The compact form factor and built-in cord can help manage limited outlet placement in hotel rooms.

  • The unit can work well on cruise ships when outlet placement makes other plugs difficult.

  • The device can be useful at home for charging multiple phones and tablets from one couch setup.

  • The lack of visible UL certification and inconsistent voltage claims can create safety and compatibility uncertainty.

  • Power sharing limits can reduce usable wattage when charging multiple devices at once.

  • The unit lacks surge protection, which can be a dealbreaker for some buyers.

  • Cruise lines may confiscate power strips, and some brands ban multi-plug outlets regardless of surge suppression.

"Travel"I have a couple of the older ones sitting in suitcases for when we visit family. In older houses where a plug is a premium my wife and I can set up our chargers on one outlet. Also, cruise ships. Cruise ships may have one outlet per cabin. You really have to get creative when dealing with that limitation if you don't want to bring a full-sized power strip.
Most cruise ships now ban power strips. While they don't always catch them on screening, there is a risk that the room steward will confiscate it.

What is the real world usage of this?
I have it and it works great. Was perfect for plugging my wife's Dyson hairdryer in. Most plugs on the ships are positioned so it is difficult if not impossible. Zero issues so far.

Calls itself a "Travel Power Strip" with "Universal Compatibility"

Only takes 125v

What's wrong with this picture? 🤣
I have an Anker 615 which also claims it's only 125v but actually works fine in Europe. I'd guess this is the same situation; IIRC it's a regulatory thing: if your adapter has US-style AC outlet plugs then claiming it can handle 240v if it's not transforming down the power to the US-style outlets, it won't get approved? https://www.amazon.com/ask/questi...25v%20only.

The onebeat you linked to only supplies a max of 15w thru it's USB C ports, this one does 65w. Big difference.

The manufacturer product page does list UL cert for this model but who really knows. I went with the Gan version also on sale for the same price (it doesn't show UL cert but has higher power rating). I was eyeing the 65w Anker but like the form factor on this one better.
Anker's is great. But it seems like they are not making it any more. Hard to find. It works great I have 2 of them. https://a.co/d/03LNP9P5
I use them when traveling or if I am working in a Panera bread or Starbucks or airport lounge.

125v likely because it has a US style plug on both ends. The USB portion can probably handle 240v if you used an adapter for AC power from a 240v outlet, but the AC plug on the device wouldn't match up. Not worth all the hassle for sure.
