Honest question, is it too slow for generic gaming? Like not needing competition level twitch reflexes (those days are over for me anyway lol) will most players be able to notice the slower (compared to hard core monitors) refresh even in games like Call of Duty? Or will this be fine for most people in general?

If you're not sensitive to refresh rate sensitivity and playing more casual games (RTS, Story Driven, etc) then I would say this monitor should be fine. If you play shooters or anything with relatively quick movement, I would look elsewhere because, besides the refresh rate, the pixel response times are slower than that of a "gaming oriented" monitor so you will see ghosting and artifacts like that. You can get some gaming oriented monitors that still look really good for this price and sometimes less.

Unless you're incredibly good at games to begin with, I doubt having anything better will 2x your skills. Should be just fine for most people
