Cant comment on this series but I have an ikon and recently had it break. It was nice that honored the warranty and sent a new one..I've never broken a knife before

I bought the icon ivory set 17 years ago on sale for 699 instead of 999. 3 years ago I saw a similar set at Costco by Cangshan. Bought them on sale from 229 down to 159 or so. They're much better than the wusthoff. Heavier. Between quality. Bigger knives. Nicer wood block. I also bought the carving set that comes with a cleaver, and 3 other large knives. Cangshan is way better for a fraction of the price. I bought a couple of additional Wusthoff knives a few years ago for a hundred each off eBay thinking I am getting a deal. Now the two sets sits next to each other and the Wusthoff never gets used.
Don't get fooled by the name. The Chinese knives are better in every way for 25% if the price.
