How to address: (1) Decide what router you want. (2) Confirm it is supported 3rd party open source firmware by OpenWRT, DD-WRT or Fresh Tomato. (3) Buy the router. (4) Flash the 3rd party open source firmware onto the router. (5) No matter what the US Gov't says/does, you can continue to use the router and deploy updated 3rd party open source firmware to it.

In my experience with TP has always been negative until I switched to ASUS. Maybe they improved with this model? Most techie consumers go with ASUS!

From the price history it looks like it regularly hits $52, so $60 doesn't seem like a great price.

Bought this on April 1st for $52.20….why wasn't it a front page deal then?
Also, this router is the older WIFI 6 protocol not the newer WIFI 7.

The ban is meant to suppress foreign competition and has nothing to do with security. If you're that security conscious, get rid of Windows.
