Do people just get a separate disk drive for these? Or don't care about physical disk games?

Personally, went digital because I prefer the simplicity and buy most of my games that way anyway. But also because it's the least used console in the house, if it weren't I'd have bought the disk version. This is a great price given the recent price hike.

Too bad it could have sold more units/games/maybe much cheaper if most games don't require online only !

Post-covid inflation + tariffs. Frown Also sucks because it made development slow down, so it doesn't feel like we're even halfway in the generation. Yet the PS6 is coming next year.

It's the number one selling console in the word so I am pretty sure they are doing just fine. Most games do not require online play. You need to be online and logged into your PS ID to play games into your library but that does not really cost anything extra.

Many new games are exceeding the max capacity of BD disc. Eventually all games will need online to download the full game

RAM, Hard drives... they are all at a shortage for over a year due to AI companies hogging all of them and all of the chips to power their monster machines. Where have you been?
