Just a friendly heads up for anyone considering these: glass straws can develop tiny cracks or "microfractures" over time, especially if they're dropped, knocked around, or exposed to temperature changes. These flaws aren't always visible, but they can weaken the straw and increase the risk of it breaking while in use, which could cause injury.
If you do use glass straws, it's a good idea to inspect them regularly for any chips or lines, avoid sudden temperature shifts, and replace them at the first sign of damage. Safety first 🙂

I grew up using glass straws. Only used them in cold drinks. They do break but lasted for years and we never had an issue with them breaking in the drink. You just need to be careful and not abuse them (e.g. don't use to stir ice, etc.).

So what are your forks made with? Some type of plastic? Most of those are considered "toxic" by one group or another. Wood? You have no idea of the process used to cure / prepare it and regardless, wood is porous so hard to sanitize after use. We've ruled out metal already. Bone? Again, porous and who knows how it was cured. Stone? Porous and sometimes uncontrollable heavy metals. Or do you just stick to finger foods?

I jest...but I am also curious.

Why no metal? Stainless steel?
