This is also available for the same price at BestBuy. Any thoughts on this vs AOHI 280w? The latter one is $144 after tax.

Good unit. I bought one previously and use it to charge my 4 kids Chromebooks for school.
Edit: Actually it was this model. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT2NQ...in_title_3

I have this unit and it's solid. Not sure I trust using their app, but having controllable output is handy as I like to limit the current when I can.

This thing is awesome, cool that you can schedule ports on/off with the app as well if you want to schedule charging

Put this in your common area/living room and pair with multiple of these 240w 10ft cables https://a.co/d/066TFoLg and never worry about charging again whether it's guests, your family, or whatever USB-C device you need to charge for work or play.

I am also thinking about this model. B&H had it for 60 and newegg was 61.99, Bestbuy refused to price match that day... is it good? How about the heat when charging.

I like it. I don't notice it getting too hot.

Thanks I will wait for it back to 60 range. I want to use this in warehouse environment to charge PDA and tablets so I need to make sure they are not too hot.

You have to use their app to get full functionality. I tried to charge a couple different flashlights, and a fan from the USB-C ports, and it wouldn't work. Anker said I had to try to use their app to configure those ports, and then they might work. They would charge from the USB-A ports. But I returned it. There's a 200W model that doesn't use the app that seems like it would work (and it's much less expensive, too). I bought a Sabrent 8-port unit. It's got plenty of power but is much bulkier.

I bought this a few weeks ago and will be sending it back. I got it for travel but it's 1.5lbs so a little too hefty for what it is. My laptop gets a slow charge warning with this and my S26 Ultra caps out at 45W no matter what cables I use (Samsung, Anker, random 240w ones).

What is the actual value proposition here compared to standard USB-C chargers? If the Power Delivery (PD) protocol already natively handles power regulation and safety cutoffs, is the $100 premium primarily for the display? It seems hard to justify the cost and the risk of a single point of failure when multiple chargers would offer better fault tolerance for the same price.

A single charger means less clutter if you're charging multiple devices at once. The screen is nice because it shows you exactly how much power is being sent. You might not care, but many people do. There are times you want to fast charge, but it's healthier to slow charge. Some devices also don't negotiate power really well (such as retro handhelds) and being able to limit current is ideal. This charger has both USB-C and USB-A, too.
