The Galaxy Watch 7 44mm is a Wear OS smartwatch with solid everyday appeal, especially for buyers who want Samsung styling and phone-linked navigation. It is described as having the same CPU as the Galaxy Watch 8, and the directions feature is limited to arrows rather than a full map view. The main issue is price, since comparable new, refurbished, and trade in deals have landed far lower. A better fit when the discount is much deeper.
WearOS watch buyers who want a familiar Android companion, because it gives directions and arrows after pulling navigation from the phone.
At $214.40, several comments say it is overpriced for a Watch 7, especially with Watch 8 and Watch 9 nearby. Comparable prices mentioned include about $150 for a new 40mm, $110 refurbished, and even lower used prices, with multiple comments suggesting the Watch 7 should be under $150.
Recent prices mentioned include $80 on Swappa, $110 refurbished on eBay, $129 new with a trade-in, and about $150 for a brand-new 40mm on eBay. Those examples are used to show that the listed $214.40 price is higher than other available deals.
The Watch 9 is said to be about to release, and the Watch 8 has been mentioned around the $220 range. That makes the Watch 7 feel like older hardware unless the price drops well below $150.
It does not provide a full map view on the watch; it shows directions and arrows instead. The watch pings the phone first to fetch directions, so it likely depends on the phone being available.
Hi, since you own the watch, does it come with Google maps? Will the maps work when it's off your wrist?
It's not a map, just directions and arrows so no map view. It pings the phone first to get the directions ao I don't think it would work without the phone
Not a good price. These were like 170 new months ago. Should be even lower than that now for it to be an okay price since the next watch is around the corner, making these 2 generations old. If you buy this for 214, you'd be overpaying for older hardware.

Considering tariffs, shipping uncertainty, the price of oil, etc, this is a decent price.
Same cpu as galaxy watch 8, and better aesthetics. Worth it if you need a WearOS watch.

No, it's a terrible price. Price of oil etc. have nothing to do with a previous generation product when Watch8 has been recently selling for $220 price range.
I've had it since release almost 2 years ago. It was $110 after tax, + a trade-in I got for $60.
Got a new 40mm LTE last month for $40 (locked to Metro for a year).
This is a terrible price.

Not a good deal or price at all. Look 1 deal above on this site, you can get a 44mm refurb Watch 8 for $181. You shoudl not pay over $150 for a 7 that is nearly 2 years old now.
