See photo of NSF Standard #2 (American National Standard For Food Handling Equipment) marking on the bucket.

Per NSF:

"NSF/ANSI 2-2025 covers the minimum food protection and sanitation requirements for the materials, design, fabrication, construction, and performance of food handling equipment. Such equipment includes bakery, cafeteria, kitchen, and pantry units and other handling and processing equipment like tables and components, counters, tableware, hoods, shelves, and sinks, among others.

Considerations in play here include the smoothness of angles and corners in a food zone, the usage of fasteners, latches, hinges, and the cleanability of various components for sanitation. These concerns, as well as many others, are outlined in the NSF/ANSI 2-2025 standard."

It's an even better deal when you stop by the food court and ask them to fill it up with nacho cheese.

Just only fill the top one.
nope, 5 gallon ice and diet coke

it's diet so you can drink as much as you want

Great lid option...only $13 for green. Makes the bucket great for storing water and air sensitive items. I use these to store brewing grains.

I was just at the Business Center, walked past them but didn't even look at the price tag, if I had seen it for 5 bucks would have picked them up.

Since no one else mentioned it, these are on the weekly sale list. https://www.costco.com/c/-/weekly...sider.html I was really hoping they would have lids, but this is pretty cheap for buckets so I'll probably bite on a pack.

If you're a Harbor Freight Inside Track Club member, hang on for one of the Free Bucket Weekends. Then every day of the sale (usually Fri-Sun) buy a carpenter's pencil or small blade cutter for under a buck after tax to get the free bucket on that trip. You'll end up with three 5-gallon buckets at about a buck each, plus whatever the required purchase things were.

They usually have bucket lids for 2 or 3 dollars if you need them. In fact the lid could be the required purchase.

If you are into container gardening, 5-gallon buckets work well and no lid needed.

I'd have ordered two sets if these were food grade. Too bad.

Quote from Sunday :
Never saw these in the warehouse. What area of a warehouse would one commonly find these in?
This is a Costco Business Center item.

30 day price adjustment. You don't even need to bring the receipt or item.
