"certified to NSF ANSI standard #2" it says on the side, which, according to GenAI, means it is somewhat food-related, but more info is required.
It further states "DR761045", which matches an NSF product listing for a "5 Gallon Bucket" from Greenmade by U.S. Merchants, and that exact listing says: "Intended for Splash Zone use only." which in plain English means"acceptable to use around food-service mess and washdown conditions, but not certified as the place where the food itself goes."

1) they don't get stuck to each other when pulling them out
2) the bottom is reinforced so the bottom doesn't crack when loaded with rock/gravel/etc
3) the sides have handles that make emptying much more comfortable
