Ugly watch. Too bad no deal on Watch 7. Hopefully they will get rid of that stupid giant square bezel in the next release.

it looks much better in person than in the pictures. having owned both, the 8 is more responsive, almost no lag, a huge improvement over the 7 IMO.

It was just as ugly in person for me, subjective of course. I haven't had any lag issues on my Watch 7s with UI 8; have had the 40mm, 44mm, as well as the Ultra 2024.

8 is so much smoother than 7, specially after the latest UI update to 7.

My big complain from me is that while running, the 8 loses my pulse reading on almost every run and it takes a while to recover the actual reading so it's difficult to se my zone, it almost never happened with 7

You can purchase the galaxy watch 7 for around $110-$120 via eBay refurbished. I much prefer the colors on the GW7.
