To add: because the unit is labeled as "restored" Midea told me their warranty doesn't cover for missing pieces and I would have to purchase the missing part.
Still, beats having a hot room. And if you're on a second floor and don't mind leaving it attached permanently, it's not a bad solution.
Community Reviews
This restored Midea Duo portable air conditioner is praised for strong cooling from its dual hose design and for arriving looking and smelling new when the unit is in good shape. It has handled garages, studios, and hot rooms well, and Midea support has replaced missing parts for free in some cases. The main drawback is inconsistent refurb condition, with reports of missing accessories, cracked plastic, odors, and occasional error codes or humidity issues. Returns and replacement parts can also be a hassle, so it is best suited to shoppers willing to check the box carefully and deal with support if needed.
Common Questions (5)
Not always. Missing sliding-window adapters, hose/window pieces, cord-wrap parts, remotes, and other accessories are reported, so it's worth checking the manual's parts list as soon as it arrives. Some units arrive complete or with updated pieces, but others need replacement parts before they can be used.
Yes, it can cool well and the dual-hose design is a strong point, with reports of good performance in rooms around 550 sq ft and even garages. The main tradeoff is that it is heavy, the window hardware is flimsy, and humidity or error-code issues can show up depending on the unit and climate.
It often does. Several units arrived damage-free, smelled new, and looked brand new despite being sold as restored, but other deliveries came with damaged boxes, broken plastic, scratches, or a strong used smell.
Returns can be difficult and inconsistent. Some returns were accepted in-store, but others required a FedEx label, a FedEx shipping-center drop-off, or a scheduled pickup, and several buyers were told marketplace items could not be returned at Walmart.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some buyers got free replacement parts after contacting Midea and providing part numbers, while others were told the restored-unit warranty does not cover missing pieces and were advised to buy the parts or return the unit.

So I directly called Midea customer service (just googled for phone number) and asked for part replacement. I looked the part numbers up in midea.encompass.com and gave them a list of things I need. They were able to accommodate my needs and sent me all the stuffs for free. Now I'm happily enjoying cold breeze.
So if you don't mind the hassle of (maybe) calling customer service, it is a great AC for its price.
Note: read the manual to check what accessories should be included. If they say refurbished item is not covered, tell them there is 90 days limit warranty written in manual. Send the email to complaint if necessary.

Comparatively, I also have the Whynter 'twin' version [ARC-1230WN] that has been working flawless for the past 3 years.
Hope it doesn't poop the bed in 3 months, suppose to be a bad summer this year so will be a good test. This is replacing my 14k BTU Whynter dual hose I've had for 4 years, and last summer it was struggling. This Midea is 2K BTU less than that, so we'll see.
