The frame is also plastic.
This is all okay in that it will work maybe even work okay for car midbass or in some atv thing but yah $12 is about right maximum spend.
So if you are taking the time & doing a custom 3 way car audio front stage or 2way with wideband are you really using these for the midbass? I don't know of a lot of $12 options but if you go to partsexpress or madisound there are some decent budget alternative choices that may be worth choosing instead.
