Nice hotel but keep in mind it does not have beach access. It does have nice views of the harbor though. The Sunday brunch buffet is great too!

Kids? (11+19 y.o+ wife)
If not we're considering NCL POA cruise for $4.7k for a balcony in May,
This deal gives us more flexibilty for airfare/miles though

am i missing something? avg prices are $300-350/night for this hotel and the cheapest deal here makes it $373.8/night. why would i pay more for things i don't want (breakfast buffet + dining credit)? this for ppl who dont like planning their own itinerary?

But this is "final cost" of $1869. With a regular booking there are fees that add around $60 or more a night. A rate of $300 might be better that this. This should be better if the rate for the nights you want is around $315 or higher.

First time I'd probably recommend you stay closer to Waikiki proper

Just because you don't want certain things or doesn't mean they don't have value.

Is $200 a night per person considered FrontPage worthy? Not being sarcastic, just wondering if that is the new expectation to spend on a hot deal for travel considering 2026 inflation.
it's hawaii. Everything is expensive. Literally every thing is double, triple, or more of the price of the same thing anywhere else..

Bullshit. If you expect the hotels to be TRIPLE the price of newyork... you are CRAZY. I just stayed at NewYork for $250 a night... taxes in.

AND PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE 18.712% on your room rate...

so THE REAL PRICE IS $2,218.73 with tax not $1869 WITHOUT TAX. That is $443.75 PER NIGHT!!!!

I will add that you did not account for taxes 18.712%. This is paid advertisement... this is NOT a deal.

I stayed here in October and loved this property. It's more peaceful and less touristy than staying in the heart of Waikiki / downtown. Props to whoever decided bidets in each room were important. I suggest island hopping (at least two) if you make the trek to HI. Easy 30 minute flights.
Props to Japanese for the bidet! It's more common in Waikiki, especially Japanese brands
like Prince, halekulani, otani.

Looking for a beach location, or first time in Honolulu, id say look elsewhere. However its still a beautiful spot and property and without kids (who want the beach) highly recommend especially with all the inclusions

the price though is truly not great unless you are staying peak holiday breaks and it's bookable for those times. Otherwise, many fine beach side hotels in the 200-300$ range. Remember, COVID peak is way over +n Japanese aren't flocking to Hawaii in droves anymore - this was a huge demographic which has all but disappeared for many reasons... geopolitics, yen, and near asia location have finally been discovered and built - plus they built their own halekulani on Okinawa few years ago.

Yup! Either they are working for lux escape or clueless of the market. While true lux hotels have skyrocketed, this is NOT in that league
