This is kind of like the digital equivalent of those fold out centerfolds in old 90s adult magazines.

Interesting but considering how cheap normal portable monitors are (e.g. you can get single 2.5k 16" one for like $100) I don't know if it really makes sense at this price. Even if you need two screens you could just get two cheap portable monitors.
It also looks like if you don't need it to be an oled one from asus you can get random folding ones with 2 15" 1080p screens for like $200 off of amazon

at max brightness is about 30W
normal indoor use is like 10W.
one screen only is like 5W.

Ever since I saw this deal a few days ago, I've been wondering like what is the use case for this?
So far the only thing I can come up with is that you can fold the screen so that one screen is on either side and you can play battleship.

The only use case I can figure out is someone needing multiple screens in a very small workspace. 🤷

OLED is nice but I don't know the use-case for a 2x OLED portable monitor

Carry it out? Connecting to laptop only drains the laptop and making usage time so much less. I had a 14" bright sidecar and I hate plugging laptop into the wall when it is supposed to last 10+ hours?

Use it at home? unless desk is tiny, if stationary, wouldn't a large OLED monitor be better?

How are you using this if you got one of these?

the single screen 15" screen I have is now is sitting next to my 5090 PC for occasional need to see the console, otherwise it's in a corner. This way I don't need to have it next to my desk anymore. a simple KVM is what I use the portal screen that I don't carry out anymore.

Can't justify ever spending good money on Asus because they are just too painful to warranty anything from.

I work remotely and take 2 16" portable screens with me to work from other cities (allows us to spend a week at my partner's family summer cottage in the boonies, for instance). If you don't need the screen real estate, you probably don't need these!
